William A. Phillips has been providing financial services since 2008 first as a Financial Professional with AXA Advisors. In September 2014, William left AXA to open Phillips Financial Strategies as an independent investment advisor with Cambridge Investment Research. In January 2020, Phillips Financial Strategies updated its registration to become a Registered Investment Advisor domiciled in Washington DC. In 2025, Phillips Financial Strategies Partnered with Summit Financial to add to its scope of services.
William Phillips is dedicated to providing each client with sound financial education and services to strategically meet unique needs and goals, whatever the challenges may be.
William is passionate about his work in the field of financial planning and investment management. He also has a passion for an active lifestyle which he demonstrates with daily distance runs and a love for participating in stamina-challenging courses like Spartan and Tough Mudder races.
An alumnus of The George Washington University, William serves his community as a board member emeritus for Gearin’ Up Bicycles and works with dog fosters at the Humane Rescue Alliance in Washington DC. As a Board Member Emeritus of CHAMPS (the Capitol Hill Chamber of Commerce), William continues to frequently and generously give time and effort to a variety of community events.
