William Phillips

principal – financial professional

William A. Phillips has been providing custom financial strategies to individuals, couples, and businesses across the Washington, DC region since 2008. A resident of Capitol Hill, William is proud to serve that community as well as neighbors in the greater northern Virginia, Maryland, and metro DC area, offering retirement planning, business succession planning, and wealth management strategies.

Casey is capable, determined, confident, and well organized, with extensive experience in client support. She has been in insurance and finance for the last 10 years and is excited to help with the operations of our company. She remains highly approachable with a pleasant attitude and a passion for helping. She looks forward to helping you service your investments with Phillips Financial Strategies.

Lee Hartshorn

Administration

Lee Hartshorn joined Phillips Financial Strategies in November 2022, following a 20-year career in the United States Coast Guard, where he attained the rank of Commander. Lee understands the challenges and opportunities associated with financial planning and is committed to helping clients identify and further their financial goals.

Lee has a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the U.S. Coast Guard Academy, a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from The University of Rhode Island, and a Master’s of Business Administration from the University of Rhode Island. He holds Series 7 and Series 66 securities licenses as well as life and health insurance licenses in select states. 

Active in his community, Lee is the Cubmaster of Pack 21 Cub Scouts.

Lindsay Marsh Chatfield

Group Plan Specialist

Lindsay came to work for William in the winter of 2019 as our Group Insurance Plan assistant, her work is primarily focused on DC Healthlink, the health insurance exchange in Washington, DC. She has a wide and varied background, including market research/opinion polling, social media strategy and implementation, and communications strategy. Over the past fifteen years, she’s been a business consultant, government contractor, a non-profit professional, a fundraiser, and a liquor distributor.

Lindsay holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Affairs and a Master’s degree in Political Management, both from the George Washington University. In her spare time, Lindsay is an avid cyclist, runner, and triathlete. She is based out of Denver, Colorado.
